The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE still wears twin stars

Twin-star headlamp motifs belong to the announced 2027 GLE family, rather than one engine. Mercedes-Benz USA’s GLE announcement applies the redesigned lights and larger grille to both the SUV and Coupe. The shared graphic therefore cannot distinguish the two body styles without a view of the roof and rear body.

The regular U.S. SUV range includes GLE 350 4MATIC, GLE 450 4MATIC, GLE 500e 4MATIC plug-in hybrid and GLE 580 4MATIC. Those correspond to different powertrains behind the family face. Mercedes also lists separate AMG models with AMG-specific grilles and other equipment. A prominent central star is not a cylinder-count guide.

Equipment still needs a trim check. The announcement lists a standard panoramic sliding roof for the regular GLE SUV and Coupe and available DIGITAL LIGHT technology. A press image that emphasizes the stars does not establish the installed headlamp technology on every car.

Use the model and design highlights to identify the body and powertrain before comparing options. Mercedes states a 2026 dealership-arrival plan for the 2027 family; that is a manufacturer schedule, not evidence that a particular configuration has been delivered locally.
