The 2026 Mazda CX-90 still wears a signature wing

The Signature Wing identifies a Mazda design feature; its finish does not identify a single CX-90 engine. For the U.S. 2026 lineup, Mazda specifies black chrome on Premium Sport versions of both the inline-six and plug-in hybrid. Those models also have black grille mesh, wheels and exterior logos. A bright wing in a photograph therefore cannot represent every trim. Mazda’s 2026 packaging release gives the actual combinations.

The fender badge is a better starting point. Mazda lists “Inline 6” on six-cylinder Sport models and “PHEV” on the corresponding plug-in hybrid. Preferred six-cylinder models receive silver 21-inch wheels and piano-black grille mesh, while the Select has silver 19-inch wheels. Wheels and badges can be changed after purchase, so use the vehicle’s equipment record to settle a trim identification.

Lighting needs the same care. LED headlights are listed on the Select, but the additional Signature headlight and taillight elements are specified on Premium Plus versions in the trim breakdown. The general face can identify the model family; it cannot establish the lighting package, cylinder count or electrified powertrain by itself.
